Chemist Bacteriologist Parasitologist from the National School of Biological Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute (ENCB-IPN) and master of science in biomedicine and molecular biotechnology from the same institution.
With 15 years of experience in the Public Sector, he held various positions in the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA) on Natural Resources issues such as wildlife, forestry and environmental impact.
In the Intersecretarial Commission on Biosafety of Genetically Modified Organisms (CIBIOGEM), in the subdirectorate of National Regulations and in the subdirectorate of Development and Scientific Innovation and Technology.
In 2019 he joined SENASICA as Director of Biosafety for Genetically Modified Organisms, and in 2023 he took the position of General Director of Agri-Food, Aquaculture and Fisheries Safety, an area in charge of promoting, regulating and certifying Risk Reduction Systems. of Pollution (SRRC), through Good Agricultural, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries Practices, Federal Inspection Type System (TIF); the regulation of the Biological effectiveness of Pesticides and their companies, regulation and biosafety of Genetically Modified Organisms and the management of the organic production system, with the purpose of supporting producers and exporters to access national or international markets, time that contributes to aspects of food safety.
